Huang notes the U.S. invested $62 billion in chips but discovered no one domestically could build factories.
“The US passed an act. We're gonna invest 62,000,000,000. Mhmm. And then they discovered six months later, there's no one in The United States that knows how to build a factory.”
Huang says NVIDIA will quadruple Coherent's indium phosphide fab capacity in one year versus fifty years for original.
“We're gonna take almost one year to build a four x. Are you guys the scale up is incredible. That tells you about the incredible demand that we have for accelerated computing,”
Huang says NVIDIA will spend about $500 billion building in America.
“The chip plant in TSMC's chip had chip plant in Arizona, Foxconn, the the number of companies that we've inspired from Taiwan to to partner with us to build factories here.”
Huang claims the AI industry has created 600,000 jobs in the U.S. in recent years.
“We've already, in the last several years, created some 600,000 jobs. And we're gonna create a whole bunch of jobs here.”
Huang says NVIDIA will spend about $500 billion building in America, noting Trump's support.
“He's delighted that we're investing in Coherent. He's incredibly happy that we are manufacturing in United States. We're gonna spend about $500,000,000,000 building in America.”
Nvidia has secured enough skilled labor globally to support 70% of demand but cannot find workers for the remaining 30%.
“There’s just not enough skilled labor around the world and surely not here in the United States to be able to support my entire demand. But we have enough support for the 70% that I’ve forecasted,”
Nvidia's expansion is creating jobs across chip manufacturing, packaging, computer assembly, and AI data centers.
“We’re creating jobs in chip plants, packaging plants, computer plants, and of course, all of these AI data centers.”
Huang argues AI will support US reindustrialization by creating skilled labor jobs for people who build and make things with their hands.
“We have lots and lots of white-collar workers, but we’re also going to have a lot of skilled labor. And having a large population of skilled labor and people who build things and make things with their hands is tremendous for the United States. We want to reindustrialize the United States. We want to create more jobs. And all of that’s going to happen right now as we speak with A.I.”
