Tepper was fined by the NFL for throwing a drink at a spectator during a game and paid a record MLS expansion fee for Charlotte FC.

Tepper emphasizes need to carefully manage the Panthers' $200 million salary cap and limited draft picks.

Tepper notes Panthers started 1-4 this year after winning only five games each of the last two seasons.
“We started off on a four this year. We, you know, had five wins the last two seasons. We, you know, had a different lack of success at other seasons.”
Tepper expresses confidence in Panthers management team and says the whole building feels better now.
“So, you know, starts there, and I think that, you know, we've done a pretty good job in the draft and stuff like that, and the whole building just feels better.”
Tepper recounts Jacksonville incident where fan insulted knocked-out Panthers player, triggering his confrontation.
“The guy said basically get your turned around and said get your freaking player off the field. Our guys knocked out the field.”
