Tepper emphasizes that China's commitment to do more is very strange language especially for Chinese central bankers.
“Now the Chinese to say we'll do more and more if needed, they don't say that because it's not been healthy to say those sort of things in China.”
Tepper says he doesn't love tariffs but 10% tariffs don't make a meaningful difference to the economy.
“I don't love tariffs. On the other hand, I don't think 10% tariffs, at least at that level, make a difference.”
Tepper finds 25% or 50% tariffs destructive but understands 5-10% tariffs as acceptable policy.
“I don't love the the 25% or the 50% tariffs. I think they're a little bit destructive. But quite frankly, you know, five or 10% or, you know, which are a little bit higher.”
