Dearlove flew into Libya in an unmarked plane as MI6 chief to negotiate Gaddafi's nuclear disarmament.

Dearlove describes arriving at empty Libyan airbase and greeting two men in jeans to see Gaddafi.
“Well, eventually two guys in jeans turn up. So we open the door of the plane and say hi. No, literally we say hi, we're here to see Gaddafi.”
Dearlove recounts directly telling Gaddafi that disarmament deal required nuclear program inclusion despite Gaddafi's denial.
“Pretty much was blunt to that. And then I said, but the message I convey from the British and American governments is no deal unless the nuclear is involved.”
Dearlove told Gaddafi directly there would be no deal unless nuclear disarmament was included in negotiations.
“And I will reiterate, absolutely no deal unless that's included. I mean eventually, we end, we go back to thirty. It's now in the early hours of the morning, fly back to Tripoli.”
