Sacks claims AI doomerism on the left is designed to justify government intervention and surveillance of AI models.
“Because when you create enough fear in a population, the people will cry out for government to intervene and save them.”
Sacks warns that government, not individual actors, poses the biggest AI centralization risk for surveillance and censorship.
“I think it's government that's gonna do that, not necessarily an individual actor because it's governments that ultimately have the power.”
