Gurley argues being where everything happens generates more fortunate opportunities than choosing a smaller pond.
“The number of fortunate opportunities, if you're where it's all happening, is a lot higher than if you're not.”
Gurley says people avoid industry epicenters fearing competition, but there are way more jobs and learning becomes easier there.
“Peers are easier. They're all around all the time. It's people, I think, don't do it because they fear it's too much competition, but there's also way more jobs.”
