Friedberg warns malnourishment is currently increasing globally after thirty years of decline.
“Right now, we are on the wrong side of the malnourishment curve. Malnourishment is increasing on Earth.”
Friedberg states bottled and canned beverages produce 500 million tons of CO2 emissions annually.
“It's about half a billion tons of CO2 that are put into the atmosphere every year to make bottled cans and beverages. Is about bottled and canned beverages.”
Friedberg quantifies California wildfires have burned 10% of forest acres, releasing 15% of stored carbon per acre.
“When we burn an acre, we release about 15% of the carbon that's stored in that acre into the atmosphere.”
Friedberg admits he was wrong betting against vegetarian meat alternatives, shocked consumers pay premiums for sustainability.
“I've been fucking shocked by how many people are choosing to pay a premium for vegetarian meat alternatives. I was wrong on this. I I bet against these companies eight years ago.”
